1. Classic FPL (Standard Game)

Setup: Pick 15 players (2 GK, 5 DEF, 5 MID, 3 FWD) within a £100 m budget; max 3 players per Premier League club

Team Management:
Get 1 free transfer per Gameweek; unspent transfers roll over – up to 5 can be saved
Extra transfers cost –4 pts each.
Choose a captain (he will score double points) and vice (auto-captain backup); bench order is important – they will automatically sub in if one of your starters doesn’t play

Scoring: Standard points for goals, assists, clean sheets, etc.; includes bonus for top-performing players in stats. Full scoring details can be found here.

Chips (one-time use each):
–Wildcard (full team revamp; 2 per season),
–Triple Captain (captain scores triple instead of double points),
–Bench Boost (all points scored by your bench players count towards your score),
–Free Hit (pick a brand new team for just 1 week – team reverts back to your original team the following week),
–Assistant Manager (select a premier league manager to score points for you – lasts 3 weeks)

Mini-Leagues & Cups:
Join/create up to 30 private mini-leagues (global, country, club, friends).
Leagues: Classic (total points) or Head-to-Head (weekly match-ups: win = 3 pts, draw = 1)
Knockout Cup runs concurrently — win Gameweek vs. rival to advance

2. FPL Draft

Format: This is much more of a North American-style format. 2–16 managers pick a 15-player squad via a live, snake-style draft. Once a player is picked, they’re locked within that league and can’t be picked by anyone else. This means all teams will be unique.

No Budget: Draft order alternates each round – there is no budget

Squad Build: 2 GKs, 5 DEF, 5 MID, 3 FWD; each Premier League player unique per league

Transfers & Waivers:
Waiver requests and free agency available post-draft; priority order based on rankings or draft order

Trading may be allowed, depending on league settings

Scoring Systems: Same player-performance scoring as Classic.
League standings: choose Classic (total points) or H2H (weekly match-ups)

3. FPL Challenge Mode

Overview: A gameweek-by-gameweek challenge separate from main FPL

Squad Rules: Build a single gameweek team. Each week may include special rules like unlimited budget or position limitations (varies per challenge)

Scoring & Format:
Points reset each Gameweek.
Individuals can join season-long leaderboard or mini-leagues within Challenge mode.
Great if you want to play but don’t want to commit to the whole season
